The Shattered Isles

Infected and stagnant, the Shattered Isles hide their history beneath mist and ruins of ages bygone. Those who survive do so in spite of the Iron Curse that lingers as a remnant of the War of Iron and Silver. They inherit tainted legacies—be it Iron, Blight, or shadows yet deeper—and strive to reshape the dying world according to their wills.

There are, of course, those who walk the mists unbound by the iron chains of the past. But their paths are mysteries, their futures unknown; will they restore the lands as purifiers? Or will they yet reforge the fetters of those who came before?

The Shattered Isles is a dark fantasy world inspired by the games of FromSoftware and Bethesda, Moorcock’s Elric of Melniboné, Kian Ardalan’s Eleventh Cycle, Luke Gearing's Wolves Upon the Coast, and many others. This is its setting guide, which is in active development. As such, the entirety of the text is free to download. 

As of February 28, 2024, the PDF is 8 pages long and covers Ashwharf, the Bell Watchers, and the Third Tower.
